@Ozzy Sirimsi I have been with @Eric Lerman on this real estate journey and you are the 3rd person he has met that said they left Remax for KW. Both guys were with Remax for so many years before making the switch. It seems like KW is the way to go for a broker with the training classes!

Helping my friend work on his current house. The a part of the carpet in the bedroom has petrified to the wood and he can not get it off. He said he tried using a paint scraper and a heat gun with no success. Anyone have any ideas on what else to try to get this carpet off the wood?

@Eric Lerman and myself are definitely interested in attending something like this if it has not already happened. I am a firm believer that making personal meaningful connections is the way to go! Hopefully we are not too late in responding.

@Ryan Cameron, interesting you say that that express interest button doesn't work. My friend/partner, Eric, who is doing all of this just submitted an interest for a property the other day. I wasn't with him while he did this so I'm curious / concerned to know if his request actually went through.  I know the land bank has monthly meetings. Eric and I went to the board of directors meeting last week and on Tuesday Eric went to the vacant property review committee meeting alone since it was at 10 am and I had work. He was able to talk to the chairwoman of the board and she gave him some information that just "flew over his head"  so to speak.  He said he walked out with her and didn't want to hold her up questions and clarifications. The one thing she mentioned to him was needing a letter from the district council person (I think???)

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge in obtaining properties owned by the city of Philadelphia?  I know about the landbank website but that's just one small piece of the process!

How would you determine arv of a property when the comps around the neighborhood are new construction that is double in sqft?

I am newbie but I tend to think outside of the box a little bit with my ideas. I know Maine is a beautiful state and with that amount of land I instantly though of doing tiny house or container house vacation rentals/ bed and breakfast. I am sure there are people that would love to get away and enjoy being in nature but do so in an unique way, not traditional hotel room. Something charming and quaint! Your tag line could be,  We care about you in Caribou Maine.

This is such a great idea! I am very new to all of this so I do not have any advice to help. However I love the concept. I was recently at a seminar where they talked about creative uses for housing like making an upscale nursing home,  home for disabled/homeless veterans or a house for special needs adults. This is just another creative idea to add to the list. I look forward to seeing you move forward with this!
