Helping my friend work on his current house. The a part of the carpet in the bedroom has petrified to the wood and he can not get it off. He said he tried using a paint scraper and a heat gun with no success. Anyone have any ideas on what else to try to get this carpet off the wood?

Linoleum/tile scraper. Building supply outlets have them...get the long handle one so you do not have to bend over or work on your knees.
