Nothing is free and getting great information in one venue over the course of 3 days or so should cost money there is no way it should be free. If was free you would get all sorts of Freddie freeloaders.

As for Premier Marketing.. I might be the only one of the BP that has actually been in their offices and had meetings with upper management... Make no Mistake this is a big big dollar business . And Premier is only 1 of 9 to 12 of these Floors working I Utah... When I was in the conference room they had tombstones of their star's and they are all gurus of some reporte'.. there bull pin boiler room ( that's your mentors you get) had a hundred plus cubes filled with 20 something's working the phones.. they are very good at what they do.

Are there tactics of getting folks to go into debt on CC less than admirable I think so. But people inherently are greedy and they want some free lunch.. then they get buyers remorse and blame everyone else ... there is a certain amount of that going on as well.

I have also attended Armando's mega 4 day event in LA.. there is a lot of real information imparted on the participants.. and very detailed info.. is it worth 40k maybe to some but maybe not to others..  But it is real it does happen... But again its the general public I think that is mainly to blame for some reason they think RE is something the can learn in a week or weekend.. or even on BP by reading and listening and all of a sudden be making 40k a month like all the adds... when in fact 90% or more that come to any of these venues be them free or cost 40k never do anything in RE ==========================================What are you saying?  How can you justify making poor people max out their credit cards and walk them thru defrauding credit card companies and bankrupting themselves.  You are BLAMING THE VICTIM!!!   These are people chasing a dream.  These are unsophisticated people.  You also  have the nerve to say  "The general public is  mainly to blame for some reason they think  is something they can learn in a week or weekend.. "

They think they can learn it in a week-end because the GURU's at these free seminars have told them they can learn it in a week or week end  and then you say "But people inherently are greedy and they want some free lunch"  No these GURU companies are the greedy ones and they are  the vultures.

@Barbara G. lets put a goal here, for sure I am not going make my life miserable over this scam, I will try my full attention to this matter one more week, by sending out my complaint to all possible org. and surely post my story in my free time to alarm people, If do not get a desirable result, and this  is just too bad, LIFE GOES ON, I have to shift my attention for making more money somewhere else.

@Mike Hurney yes to find out all 3 sides of story it takes lengthy effort, for a party willing to commit, however, I have used all of the free services which I have no control over them in "how dedicated" " how far and deep" they are willing  to fight on behalf of  me?

 Hi Debbie

That's a really  healthy attitude that you have.  If you can take this, do the best you can with it. and Win or Lose be ready to go on to your next step that's just the best.

Good luck with this and your future

@Barbara G. Wait a minute @Debbie Lee put up $41k at the drop of a hat (pitch), can't afford a Lawyer and we'll all run around in circles for her claims of being taken by a "slimmy snake".

There's always three sides to every issue: Debbie's, Snake's & the Truth.

I learned the hard way that you can't help someone, more, than they want to help themselves.

Several years ago I went to the Massachusetts Attorney Generals office to champion the rights of 22 "Aggrieved Potential Investors" that had been "taken" by John Ross. AG followed through but cautioned me to get the complaints in writing, notarized and they'd haul Ross back to Mass.

Guess how many APIs even wrote down the facts of the case.....

 HI Mike

Thank you  for contributing the above.

Debbie did not have the money to pay for the courses, she was brainwashed and guided into duping her credit card card companies in order to charge the costs.

Everyone knows these people take advantage of those of us that have the least money.

Debbie IS helping herself.  She has been REFUNDED  $14,500 back because of her work by that GURU company.  She has written the Attorney General and she has composed and sent two letters off to her credit card companies. She has done additional things.  She has been working day and night.  She has listened to this BiggerPockets community.

We should not be faulting her.  We should be treating her as part of our family and helping her.  If she wins and if she prevails we will celebrate with her, just like we would celebrate for anyone in our family that does well.  I am sure you would also like to see her get her money back.

BG

People have all advised Debbie to get a lawyer and that's a great idea but she can't afford one;  So we are going to follow the suggestion of going to a law school and see if she can get some Pro Bono help.

We are asking  her to get in touch with Chicago Law school and present her request for assistance.  She needs a lawyer's letter sent to the GURU.

So Debbie we are asking you to get in touch with:

http://www.law.uchicago.edu/probono

Chicago law school has this pro bono clinic

Please let us know if you can do this.

So Armando is behind all this Grief!!!!

Debbie has done a lot.  Now we would like her to file a complaint with the local consumers protection at                       http://www.consumercomplaintagency.org/

So far Debbie has completed  the following:

1.  She has sent the CC company (s) letters to take the              charges off her Bills.  We need to know what the credit          card companies are sayng about this??

2.   She has complained to the attorney General and we             need to know if they have responded

Now we want to know what else she should do and if she did anything else with other agencies.  We want no stone left unturned and we need to know from Debbie what other actions she took.  The BP community also should advise, Especially Lew, what else she should do

BG

Debbie just blogged the following:

"I am planing to email out this "counter-offer" to the guru, but worried...am I possibly give them a chance to sue me for " intimidation "? pardon me if this is a dumb question."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure that this company has no intention of sueing you or anyone they have manipulated into getting credit cards and doing wholesaling with MLS.

You are doing everything to get your money back and they will soon realize until they give you your money back you will not stop.

They know the next thing you will do is show up at the door of their next seminar and give out xeroxed information telling people how they have ruined your financial life. You can also give out "Rip OFF" information.  Even if they lose one customer, (and they will lose many more)  by your actions, they will be losing much more then the $26,000 that they owe you.  They can count.

BG

Debbie about your paying the credit card company.  i think you should ask Lew about this.  I think as long as you are protesting the charges you should not pay the Credit card company.  Actually you can not afford to pay $41,000 back.

And while you are at it Debbie send the same kind of letter/form to your local consumer protection agency:

http://www.consumercomplaintagency.org/

I sincerely thank you for taking me on like your own family, you are absolutely amazing !! and I will kick your butt if you ever come to visit Chicago and not ringing me up!!

HI Debbie

You were hard to move forward BUT in the end you really did it all yourself.  You figured out who your friends were and you learned from them.

All by yourself you got those terrible people to give you back $15,000 and you worked them up to a $25,000 offer.  Believe me that wasn't easy.  But you did that!!!  You came on this forum and found out who yours friends were.

The rest of us saw this this young pretty woman, fighting to keep her dreams and her respect, fighting this  terrible bully who stole her money and her dreams and was trying to run her down.

I am so happy for you and I know you will beat them.  Let us know how you are proceeding.

Stay well and stay strong.

You have done fine by initiating disputes with your card companies.  The purpose of my example "negotiation" is not about negotiating; it's about uprooting their strong-arm tactics altogether and ending the air of intimidation.  In other words, it's about showing them you're in control of the situation and know the legal avenues you can pursue (at no cost to you - since they do not involve an attorney at this time).  A negotiation like that is almost an ultimatum - it is your way of saying, "here's what's going to happen, which is totally out of your control - so stop playing games with me."

I cannot help you with your FTC complaint due to scope and time requirements, but I have enjoyed helping you with getting your money back.

 HI Debbie

This Lew is a treasure.  Everything he says is spot on.

GO LEW GO!!

Just do what he says, you are on the right path.  Next get your complaint over to the attorney genera;
