@Larry Shirley

Yes, I have about 60 properties in Detroit and still buying

I also source properties for clients

I am aldo now selling properties in Atlanta and injecting these funds into Detroit market. As you can work out I am bullish with regards to Detroit market

Why not take a bet each way?

Look at acquiring/holding properties in appreciating markets, once you have seen some growth, sell a few and hold some for cashflow

I also like the strategy of adding value by flipping or developing. This requires more work, but good way to creat chunk deals

I will reiterate what others have said, good time to buy in Detroit, however location and what you buy is very important

I focus on aspirational areas with 12-15% rental returns

 Yes in Detroit

My advise is to do your due diligence lot of junk in this market, need to buy good product and location

Network with successful investors and piggy back

@Johnny Lau

Sounds good. I am all about diversifying and if the numbers work then you are on a winner.

I was investing in Atlanta when entry level was much lower in 2011, today very difficult to get the numbers to work, but appreciation has been extraordinary.

I see amazing opportunities today in Detroit, very hard to get these numbers at lower price point. At the end of the day its all about making money and getting it right and the power of leverage. If the markets are rising its a beautiful thing... a bonus if you like
