Great idea guys, I live and invest in Auckland, New Zealand but would like to invest in US , already looking at some turn key properties. But first I would like get my structures sorted to avoid double tax. Any help from fellow kiwis would be appreciated. Would love to catch up with any investor here in Auckland
Chad Urbshott I will see if I can find one locally
Chris Popov I meant foreign owner of the LLC but the LLC itself will be in US. Hope that answers your question

I am an foreign investor looking to buy my first rental investment in Memphis. To get started I want to set up an LLC and ensure its setup properly to avoid getting double taxed in New Zealand. Any recommendations from fellow BP members for companies that specilise in setting up foreign LLCs is appreciated.

Please only recommend if you have had a good experience with that company.

thanks

Hey Tausani, Iam also from Auckland and looking to do my first deal in US. I currently invest in Auckland but as you know it's difficult to buy any good deals here. All the best with your investing hope you can find your first investment soon. Happy to catch up if you like.

@Chris Dawson, Hi Chris , can you refer me to a lawyer in KS. I am talking to HSBC bank which is local as well. If I can become a premier member then I think they will allow me to invest in US at 60% LVR. But first I have to transfer one of my existing properties to HSBC. We'll see how it goes.

@Account Closed Hi Justin, I will pm my details later today. Thanks for your reply.

@Andrew fielder, Hey Andrew , I would like to just buy and hold for now , looking for good rental yields with Cash Flow. I understand what you mean by capital gain areas , which is normally true every where in the world, if you have good capital gain areas there is hardly any rental yields in these areas. I can get good capital gain in here in NZ, but I do struggle with Cash flow so just trying to complement my strategies a bit. If I can first find lenders who can lend to foreign investors it would be great.

Hey guys ,

I am looking to invest in US. Can see pretty good yields compared what we have here in New Zealand. Can someone please guide me through the process to buy a house in US. I think the biggest road block is getting any finance approved to a non - resident , but Iam happy to pay at least 30-40% deposit. Any existing overseas investor will probably know what Iam talking about. Any guidance in good areas / states to look at will be appreciated. I have a brother who lives in Washington - Seattle but I can find any good yields in that state.
