I’m looking to invest in commercial residential real estate in Los Angeles. Basically looking for apartment buildings of nine units or more. But, I am priced out of most investments, considering that I am looking to invest in the LA market. 

I would love to hear about strategies and advice that you might have for me. Thank you!

I am looking for a good property management company in Kansas City, MO. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. 

Thank you all for your thoughts on this. I invested in two properties in KC (north of the river) in the first quarter of 2016 and they have been rented since. I am glad to have made that decision. 

@Prab C. I did not go with a turnkey company. Found all the contacts myself and vetted each of them before moving forward. Ive been very happy with all of the people I worked with. 

@Prab C. I have since bought two single family homes north of the river in KCMO. One is already rented and cash flowing at a rate of 10% and the other is currently under renovation with a target of being on the market for rent by the end of the month. Shooting for a similar return on investment. 

@Elizabeth S. good developments so far. KC is where I will be making my move. I like the numbers the market appears to have at this point. I was able to connect with a few people over the phone in the past week as well and that was also very helpful. I will be visiting KC in January and meeting some of the investors who showed interest in partnering to work on a few deals together. At this point I have my work cutout for me.

Welcome @Brian Hogsett! I am from California and I'm looking for RE investment opportunities in MO. I am mostly looking for buy and hold opportunities, but also open to partnering with someone to work on flipping deals. I have the time and the cash and I would like to be more hands on as that is where most of the learning happens, but I do not the experience in flipping homes.
