Hey everyone! Do any of you have experience renting to students? I’m live in a large college town that is really going to grow within the next 10 years. I feel like renting a property to students is a huge risk because, well, they can be wild sometimes and tend to ruin things. I know not all do but it is a big risk. Any experience here with it? You bring up some really good points man! Thanks for your reply. I thought housing around a military base would usually have an easy time renting and wanted to capitalize on that but I’m not comfortable with the fact of not being able to get to the property within driving distance. I know it’s totally do-able but I was just putting the feelers out and seeing other people’s experiences first.

Hey everyone! I’m 22 and me and my wife will be moving back to the states in December and I will be leaving active duty In about 2.5 years. We are wondering if we should buy at our next base and rent it out when we leave but I’m a little worried about having a property that’s not in the state I live in. We are moving back to Georgia when I get off active duty but we don’t know where we will be going in December. Would it be a bad idea to have your first investment property to be out of state? Anybody have any experience with it?

I have been wondering, if anyone on here is a millionaire? Not a million plus in real estate value, but a million plus liquid in your personal account that is yours. I know it’s an odd thing to wonder but I would just like to see how many very successful investors there are on here and if any have made it to making a million or more a year!

Can someone tell me about the benefits and all the hidden things you can and can't do with a VA loan? Just wanting as much info as I can get before I use mine.
