Mike, I don't have any experience with the Pre but I wanted to let you know that I no longer work for AT&T.

I am current on my mortgage but have been out of work for a month. I have enough for 2 more months of not having a job. I am considering checking into a deed in lieu with BoA. Would I be better off going into a branch or just calling the 800 number?

How likely is a bank to do a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure as opposed to foreclosure and deficiency judgment?

As John said, you can't get insurance to protect against loss, stolen, or damage. You can get Apple Care that gives you a full 2 year warranty and 2yr phone support. I think it is worth it for battery replacement alone.

About the data portion of the plan, you have to have the iphone data feature on your plan ($30) as long as you are using the iphone. If you change phones then you can remove the feature.
