They're a real company but they do a ton of complicated outsourcing from other countries and it really makes their processes slow and nonhuman.

We did end up going into business for ourselves and it has really been going well. How many properties do you have in the Jackson area?

I'm so glad to hear that your experience has been more positive working with PM's in the area. I just know there are certainly some less than stellar options out there, and it can be frustrating for sure.

What area did you go with when adding to your portfolio?

I see it says your in San Diego CA, and you're a Military Investing Contributor, thank you for helping Veterans! Exactly what does that entail when you do those types of contributions, I'm not familiar with that space.

Im originally from CA as well, I lived there for about 30 years. My husband is also a Veteran, so are the other gentlemen that we work with.

It's such a small world sometimes, what a coincidence!

We've been in business for a while now and it's actually going quite well. My husband used to be in the industry, and I had already started the real estate training, so we were able to take our experiences, and the recognizing of other companies short comings, and create the exact opposite style of business.

We have 24-48 hour lease turn around times, we communicate with our owners/investors frequently, and we're growing everyday.

We know a lot of people in the industry as well, so we have teamed up with a couple of brokers, and we have a team of contractors as well. So far everything's been great and we've really been able to give back to our community and actually help people quickly solve the problems that other places took an eternity to even approach.

Do you own any properties in the Jackson MS area?

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced a terrible property management company in the Jackson MS area, but I have had some of the absolute worst experiences that you can imagine!

No contact, waiting weeks or months to report damages and even longer to get them fixed, no urgency to lease to anyone, telling me straight up lies about progress and acting like I don't have any other options because I'm out of state, or at their mercy somehow!!!!

Oh no, never ever again will I fall victim to this!

And thus, the call to action to create our own company! 

Anyone else deal with a catastrophe like this with PM companies in Jackson MS?? Please share, I would like to know that I'm not alone in this travesty.

Fantastic!

Although we just started our business, we have already successfully transitioned almost 100 doors over from other property management companies, and growing everyday, as we knew the owners/investors were dissatisfied with their present services,  and after many people (particularly owners/investors) within the industry encouraging us to go into business for ourselves, we knew what we had to do in order to do right by our community. 

As for rates, we are competitive with validation from your current company. If you have several doors you want incorporated with us, we can negotiate. We have a baseline, but we have found that for all of the inclusive services that we offer, plus our reputation and results, we outweigh the other companies 9x/10.

In regards to communication, it is 100% key and king in our industry. Although we are in the property management business, we are moreover in the people business. Matter of factually, this is one of the areas that we most noticed short comings with the big guys in the industry. There was too much red tape, and almost ZERO COMMUNICATION. As far as we are concerned, that is simply unacceptable. Owners/invertors should receive updates as wanted and needed in order to maintain transparency and trust. Additionally, your property management company SHOULD also be communicating with tenants, as well as potential renters DAILY as needed in order to best serve everyone, and get the owners/investors their RETURN on INVESTMENT every month.

Communication is on par with trust, respect, results, transparency, and ROI Jeff and that's what makes us different.

Now, if the owner simply doesn't want to communicate with us, that's another story, we can handle everything and only bring up completely necessary points of contention to the owners/investors.
