 Hi. My apologies for the late reply. I read the responses as they were posted but due to my own home renovation, I didn't reply until now. Also, trying to navigate this site via a mobile device isn't as easy as I thought it would be. It seems I can't reply to each individual post. Thanks for all of this good information! Each of you has valid points. It doesn't seem wise to purchase land without a plan. I am leaning toward a 1 family as my first investment. I'm debating whether I should take the Rookie Bootcamp class since I'm not sure where or how to begin.
 

Hi everyone. I am a new member. I currently own my own home and am interested in real estate investment as a 2nd income. Has anyone purchased land and if so, what have you done with it? Do people just hold land for a while until they figure out what they are doing with it and are there professionals that deal specifically with land purchases?

I'm a Pro Member and I don't have Market Place in my tools menu. I tried searching for keywords and no luck locating it so far.

Hello! I appreciate everyone's warm welcome and advice. I read Eric Martel's, Stop Trading Your Time for Money, and became interested in real estate. If all turnkeys operate similarly, I would stay away from it until I'm a more seasoned investor. I refinanced my house last year and got an incredible rate of 2.875! I am never refinancing this house again :) 

Hi. I couldn't join the Newbie Bootcamp. I'm hoping to be able to catch the next one. My objective at the moment is to learn how/if I can invest in a single family rental property as a means of extra income monthly with little to none of my own money. I am a full-time employee in Healthcare IT, paying off debt, one income household and a homeowner. So far I've found the Basics article (10min read) most useful as starting point.
