Thanks @Kevin Phu. I currently reside in North County SD, and although I am open at looking at areas up here (San Marcos/Oceanside), I would prefer to find my way more south into areas like Mira Mesa to Mission Valley. Of course, this all depends on how the numbers and overall potential of those areas look at the end of the day - I know first hand where to look first if I have any questions :).

Megan Greathouse thanks for sharing details of your multi family purchase. I just joined BP recently and am interested in finding a multi down the line myself. I appreciate the tips from your own experiences - it's just the thing that I need to see to overcome my doubts. Kudos!

Hey BP,

My name is Art and I am excited to join BP Forums! Like many members here, I have been listening to BP podcasts for several months, learning all that I can. I finally feel ready to venture to the next level and want to exponentially increase my knowledge so that I can execute my RE investing plans.

As for my background, I am currently located in San Diego, CA working as a full-time analyst for a global telecom company. Prior to that I've spent 5 years working in different property management roles (leasing and operation) for a large RE company out in Orange County. I also hold a CA RE license.

Currently, my short term goal is to purchase my first owner-occupied property in San Diego within the next year where I plan on house-hacking. My 5+ year goal is to be at least 10+ cash-flowing doors. My dream is to attain financial freedom, not only for myself, but for my future family and my parents. I am excited to get started and know that RE investing can be long, but fruitful, venture.

Looking forward to connecting with many others here and hope to contribute back to this community soon!

Cheers,

Art Wang
