@Mark H. Porter I had filed for eviction (after a call to them assured me that I could) and even got a court date but they took it all off and mailed the check back to me and said evictions now pushed until July 10 what a mess

@Theresa Harris got no way of reaching her. All calls and texts ignored. I go to the house and can clearly hear her inside, but when I knock it literally goes silent inside and no one comes and opens

Evictions are not allowed to be filed until July 11 in my city. By the time I follow the law and get her out it will be September. About 8000 dollars lost, in addition to the homes expenses. The total loss after this mess is going to be like 13000. Really hoping someone has an amazing story about how their insurance company came through...

Got a tenant who has not paid rent since February. Gets the unemployment, got the Trump stimulus check, just fully taking advantage of the no evictions thing going on... how frustrating to still have to pay taxes, insurance, mortgage, and maintainable.

Has anyone tried making an insurance claim for the lost rent? Thought about trying that but want to see if anyone went down this alley..

@John Underwood thank you John, just a few questions..

how do you know exactly who paid? I have many laying the same amounts...

is anything to stop someone from giving this information over the phone to a vendor to pay for something?

Have you ever had trouble evicting someone due to small deposits into your account the day before a hearing to block an eviction because of partial rent accepted?

So I have 17 properties with every single tenant paying rent in a different way every single month..everyone is just all over the place. Some tenants don’t have a bank account(don’t ask).. some don’t have smart phones(don’t ask). I was wondering, is it safe to give my bank account number and routing number for them to just go deposit the money? It was cute at first with everyone paying via different methods but now it’s annoying Help pleaseee

@AJ Hu always get an estimate before work starts. Chances are you would have paid 200 instead of 400 if you got the estimate first...just pay and be done with it. The court dates, months of stress, and all that fighting and driving back and forth isn’t gonna be worth 100 bucks at the end of the day.

Reading some people say it’s reasonable.. I don’t buy that. I’m surprised that a professional plumber even took one hour to do it. I’ve done it in 25 minutes with little to no experience. You definitely got ripped off, but these kinds of things are just part of the business of landlording..100 dollars for a lesson learned is an extremely great price. Just pay it and be done with him

@Lynnette E. 😂😂😂 all very possible reasons!

@Isaac El it’s probably because they owe way more than the house is worth.. meaning they would rather just pay the taxes every year than have a big fat amount due at closing if they were to sell

@Stephanie Z. Thank you Stephanie.. all good points.. will just swap it and avoid potential headache
