What a wise POV. I agree. If you're not happy with what you have now/who you are, money will only intensify your life's issues.

My RE Dream is to have $1million in residual income from my investments by the time I'm 40. 30 would be even better (Countdown 7 more years!).

I would like to use that residual income to go to every major opera house in the world and start a school for gifted and talented children whose families can't afford to give them the education they deserve. :)

Also, I'd like a closet full of the cutest clothes. ;)

My grandfather always told me, "Real Estate is like playing a game. When you win, you win big. But be careful not to get too cocky, or you'll loose everything. Don't over-leverage."

His words ring in my memory every time I pass a For Sale sign. I just can't help but grab the flyer and look for holes in their game.

I believe that you should never do anything unless you're 100% passionate about it. Why work a "9-5" doing something you resent when you can start that stamp collection business with RE providing is proving residual income?

Thanks for sharing Charles and for getting me thinking. :-D

I did a teeny bit of research and it looks like a sales pitch. Kinda fishy. linkoptions.net site has some magnetic marketing (so don't get sucked in before doing your research). Example videos are included.

But like I said... the marketing works so beeewaarrre ;)

I was so ecstatic to find BP. It's only been a short while, but I feel like my real estate brain has grown 3 sizes ;)

Everyone is so helpful and ready with wisdom. It's so wonderful to have this forum.

My Grandpa inspired me. He was always traveling to different countries and opening health clinics for the villagers with the money he earned from real estate.

Then, when I got married, my husband helped me along the process and now here we are!

Maybe a little bit of Robert Kiyosaki :)

So far I have one rental property. I'm looking to buy up some undervalued real estate/foreclosures and rent them out. 19 properties is my goal for 6 years out.

I've been using my marketing to get tenants in/out quickly. You know what they say "Slow to hire. Quick to fire."

I'm also looking into getting properties out of state, but am wary. Starting in Walla Walla for now :)

I owned it at one time, but now I outsource all my Photoshop needs to a designer.

freelanceswitch.com is my go-to place for hiring.

A landlord in our town had a write up from a small newspaper that he only wanted to rent his apartments ONLY to people with "medical marijuana cards."

He said it was because, "too many tenants complained about the smell."

Pro: At least you'd know who was doing what in your rentals.

Con: You'd have a bunch of potheads in your rentals.

Your opinions?
