I have both a leaking sillcock and valve on the inside of a house and am planning on replacing both. Should I go with a frost-free one (property is in Wisconsin), and if so should I still plan to turn off the valve on the inside to keep tenants from doing something stupid? Would I want to replace the valve on the inside with one that can drain even if the faucet I put in is frost free?

Renting upstairs has gone pretty well. The purchase came with a tenant, and there wasn't any trouble with her. She moved out at the end of the lease, and we got new tenants lined up to move in right away.

My wife and I bought a 2-unit in November near East High, owner-occupied. We're hoping to buy more properties over the next several years.

My wife and I bought our first 2-unit on the east side of Madison, WI, 9 months ago, occupying the lower unit and renting out upstairs. It's in mostly good shape but needs a new roof before winter, and we're going to remodel our kitchen sometime in the next year.

We're planning on buying more properties in the coming years for buy-and-hold. We'd love to connect with other investors.
