@Kurt West Thanks for the insight! Curious to know what your questions are! At some point my goal is to buy a small farm but in the meantime I am curious to see how cheap I could possibly put a small home on a plot of land ideally with woods or an acre in size in central Maryland.

@Rob Schou

Thanks! Yeah I don't really see much of the cool eco lodgings you can find in abundance out west here in maryland. Sad because it makes minimalist and earth friendly lodgings unaffordable

Hello! I am curious what your thoughts are on the cheapest prefab home you legally put on a property somewhere in Central Maryland or up in Frederick County where you could buy a piece of land for 50 to 75k then plop a turnkey prefab and also pay for a well and other site prep. What do you think is a realistic price if you are going for minimalism? I was trying to look up zoning laws but the websites don't seem intuitive to me so sorry for asking a potentially obvious question! Lastly if anyone in the area has experience building affordable eco friendly dwellings I am interested to connect or hear your stories!

Hey there! I am curious if you are still meeting on Fridays at Spirits? I am a new investor although my family has owned real estate in Baltimore for over a century. Looking to connect with others and learn more :)

Thanks Mary, I will look into finding a different one.

Thanks Joe, Ironically they are a carpet cleaning company and didn't feel they could do the job. And yes Scott I was quite shocked myself as the quality of work itself seems pretty good and the price reasonable. If anyone has alternative general contractors in the Baltimore area please PM me! Thanks
Hello everyone,

I recently had an unfortunate incident where our contractor (who seemed to be doing a great job for the past 4 months since we started working together) had his men do some touch up painting and not use a drop cloth. They left lots of small flecks of paint and chips of old paint around the unit. They were able to clean up all of the stuff that was able to be vacuumed but now there is still a decent amount of paint damage to the carpet and other surfaces only in the areas they were doing touch ups. Is there a good solution to get the paint out of the carpet? Is there a service you would recommend? Unfortunately the contractor themselves was unable to adequately clean up their mess so we are looking into working with someone else to remedy the situation. Thanks for any and all advice!
