Nice to meet you Brian!  My husband and I are in the same boat as you.  We're starting out this year, looking for our first deal in College Station, but will also be looking for properties closer to home in Richmond and Sugar Land.  Looking forward to hearing more about your journey!

Helen, you can PM me for Aaron's property manager contact if he doesn't respond here.  I don't think he visits Bigger Pockets that much, but I could be wrong. It took him a long while to respond to my PM when I requested the same info.

Hi, the lawyer I was planning to use to set up a (complicated) multi-member LLC died suddenly this past weekend. I was hoping BP members in the Houston area would recommend a good lawyer located (preferably) in the southwest area / suburbs of Houston, who's had real estate investment / estate planning experience. Thank you so much!

Shaun, I would like to attend the next meeting on December 29th.  This sounds interesting.

It's nice to meet you. We'll be investing some in College Station in 2017, so I'm on the lookout for connections over there. How long have you acted as an agent? Nice experience in the other fields. My dad served in the Air Force during the late 60's, and was in the oil industry after that, until about 5 years ago. He's now REI in areas outside San Antonio, where the oil industry needs housing for employees. The REI bug seems to run in our family.

I know at some point that supply will exceed demand, but ever since I can remember, good housing has always been a premium in good 'ole College Station.  My husband had to settle for a small room in a mobile home when he attended in the early 90's.  :)

Katie, we're looking into SFHs for the most part, but are also considering multi-family.  We want something within biking distance/on the bus route, but if the numbers don't make sense on paper, we don't want it.  We want cash flow overall. This will be a long-term investment, something we will continue beyond our kids' graduations, as long as the numbers continue to make sense.  Preferably in a neighborhood/area that doesn't have issues with student homes.  We aren't looking at new homes.  Fixers uppers are not a problem for us, but we need a good price going in to account for rehab costs.  A decent location does matter, preferably on the bus route.  We MIGHT prefer a home closer to the engineering school over another home elsewhere.  Please go ahead and send your mom's information to me.  Thank you.

I'm looking for an investor-friendly agent in the College Station, TX area.  I also need referrals for a reliable property manager (in that area).  My goal is to purchase a great deal before my son heads to A&M for the Fall 2017 semester.  Any property manager and agent referrals are appreciated.
