@Charan K. It cost $90-- I used the service this June. I have heard, however, that prices have gone up to something like $120.

Good luck!!

I second Pete D. He is fantastic. He helped me out a great deal as a new investor.

Best of luck!

The article seems to imply that skin color indicates a connection and does not point to causality. In the parts it highlighted eviction in Richmond, it stated that these judgements are made in majority African-American communities, where poverty has been generational and where little aid is available.

Hi! I’m a fellow Los Angeles transplant. Good luck with the move to Alabama. I’ve heard great things about the Montgomery market. I’m sure you’ll do great things!

The tl; dr of my issue is this: I’m having trouble securing a loan— and/ or getting prequalified.

I’ve heard noes from 5 banks I’m the Richmond, Chesterfield and Colonial Heights area. The breakdown is: a credit union, 2 small banks and 2 big banks. Where am I not looking?

My family just relocated to the US after living abroad for almost 7 years— we just moved to Richmond from Los Angeles and so are new to Virginia. I’m a teacher (currently substitute teaching— waiting for my out-of state license) and my husband is self employed. We both have above 750 credit scores, have filed out taxes while living abroad, and have exactly zero debt. We have a sizebable amount in our bank accounts and in broad market index funds.... so

If anyone has any information on any banks or other options I may have missed, I’d love to hear ‘em.

I realize we may look like bums on paper because after finishing our teaching contracts abroad in September of 2017, we traveled the world with our son for a few months— and so technically have a gap of unemployment.

Hi! I’m new at this and a bit confused. Is this the same as https://www.hudhomestore.com/Home/Index.aspx ? Because I was perusing this site yesterday and saw the same properties cross-listed on other sites.

After teaching and travelling abroad for 8 years, I  am finally relocating back to the U.S. and am excited to jump into real estate. Well, I've been reading up about it for the past year or so, so I think it's more accurate to say i'm eagerly tiptoeing into this realm.

My family and I spent almost a decade saving our foreign-earned income and are ready to branch out from just index fund investing (which I admittedly enjoy). I am ready for a more hands-on approach and am willing to put in the time it will take to be successful in real estate.

I plan to pursue multi-family rentals for monthly cash flow. Yes, I know that sounds crazy coming from Los Angeles. And it's for that reason that my family and I plan to migrate to another area of the U.S. within the next few months. We hope to take advantage of the lower cost of living (and more favorable tax laws) in other states to get started.

The plan is to initially to take on house-hacking to experience/learn firsthand the finer points of renting and managing a property. While I am not opposed to out-of-state rentals, I've come across some hair-raising horror stories on BP that make me even more weary of the prospect than I was before. Either way, buy-and-hold is what I've zeroed in on.

I have 6 BP tabs open on my Chrome browser and am honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information (webinars, books, discussion threads etc.) on the site. I am finding it a bit hard to reconcile the "Go now!" directives with the "Wait-- don't be too eager!" messages.

Looking forward to meeting with and connecting with more experienced minds.
