@Steve K. I do really like how everyone on this site so critical. It pisses me off but its actually more helpful. I typically don't have the thought 'I deserve.' Actually, I'm being accused on here a lot because I like to chill out, bum, and surf. But the things that I struggle with to enjoy my hobbies I don't complain about. Not knowing where to sleep everynight- typically something like a Walmart parking lot. Dealing with the cops constantly. And what have you. So do not think I have the mentality 'deserve' just 'desire' to have a bed to sleep in and the comforts of money.

The 'employers' that I have generally worked for have less education and I often find them less intelligent, in my opinion. Yes, I must sound like a douche, but I know that I am smart and smart enough to know that its not worth my time doing stupid meaningless and mindless tasks at a minimum wage to crawl up some societal ladder that I don't believe in and which frankly only exists in the minds of people who are not educated. My nature is not that of competition. I simply am interested in the happiness and contentment for all humans.

@Austin Fruechting Thanks for the reading recommendation. I don't know why you think I am not willing to do anything. If I was working for a small business with people I like, with a purpose I like, then sure I would be happy working. My experience with jobs has been measuring tree diameters for 40 hours a week, packaging fossils into bags for 40, excel 40 hours a week, etc. That makes me feel like a rat.

@Account Closed I can see why you enjoy the grind if you see it benefiting your long term goals. I am trying to change my mentallity from victim-like to creative. 5 hours a day? That's disgusting. It's probably because everyone hates their jobs so they want to check out of life.

Thanks friends. @Account Closed This is also why I would like to leave the United States. I think I would be much happier somewhere like Denmark or Portugal where they value lifestyle more than 'GRINDING' as some people post in this group. I don't like that mentality. I'm not a rat. My primary interest is happiness.

@Account Closed Thanks for the suggestion. I'm glad you like your job. I would most likely not be happy in most 9 to 5 situations but maybe not all situations. Financial freedom and real estate is important to me as well. I think you are right. Honestly, I don't care for real estate itself so much but I am sure eventually I will want property. So maybe it will be difficult for me to do well in real estate. My parents have an idea for my life that I do not like or agree with and I havne't figured out how to break out of their mentality. My heart is in climbing, surfing, and music. Those are the things that make me happy but I don't think I can realistically make a living doing those things. Why are you so interested in real estate? For financial success? Or because you enjoy the game?

Hi @Joseph M. Thanks for reaching out. Well, I've been looking around for jobs.. I've been hauling rocks for this guys yard. Lunch money at least. I've been trying to read a lot of the forums on this site which I find pretty inspiring. Other than that, getting distracted by females

Hi, I am also new to Southern California and am also new to real estate. Want to get started. Please message me! Would love to meet up.

I'm actually gonna check out the marine corps

I don't mean to be poor me. i'm just saying i won't last long bussing tables.. then tell me what to do. i've tried contacting some RE mentors but they don't have shadowing opportunities

If someone gave me a job on a rig i would be psyched but that industry sucks. One of my friends is 40, has a Masters in geology, 20 years work experience in oil, and is always unemployed.

I am willing work hard but I will not be successful at bussing tables or measuring tree diameters or serving spicy chai lattes for more than a couple weeks
