Love this idea and the details of how to do it is what I needed. Also thinking of trying out a soccer field using stabilizied decomposed granite and if that does not get used or windows get broken, I think your idea is great of how we can re-use that space. Thank you!!!

Folks, following on my previous post, I am exploring the idea of turning a former demolished pool area into a soccer field (picture attached). I have an option to put decomposed granite as the grounds material and I am trying to stay away from grass. Would this work? Has anyone used decomposite granite or some other kind of gravel for these purposes?  From searching on google it looks like people use it for driveways/pathways and there is also stabilized decomposed granite, which could help keep things together. Would love some thoughts and recommendations.

Folks, does anyone has a recommendation for a contractor or contractors for make-readies in Phoenix? Things like painting, fixing up, resurfacing tubs/counters, etc. Ideally one person who could do it all, but if not, would love to hear about multiple people.

Separately, where else would I look for such folks aside from Yelp?

Thanks!

Good points. What if I did not want to do grass, what are some other options that are not meaningful capex investments and could make sense?

? Attaching a picture.

Hi folks,

I am trying to figure out an economical way to cover up a former pool area in a 60+ units property. The pool has been demolished and the area is covered with dirt. This is a relatively big area, which is part of an interior courtyard, the adjacent half of which is covered with grass. Outside of covering that area with grass (trying to cut down on grass) or building expensive amenities, what could I do here to cover the dirt? It clearly needs to be covered with something.

Thanks!
