Hey everyone! I read a bigger pockets thread from a few years ago that says the property analyzing tool “Flipster” isn’t worth the money at all… what do you think?

Also if you don’t think it’s worth the money how do you find out what deals are? For example: if a house is listed for 120,000 how do you know if it’s a good deal to get it at that price? How do you know how much you can sell it for? Or how much the renovations will cost? I don’t know how to do this without a software like Flipster… any advice?

Thanks!

@Jefferson Brown

Do you mind me asking where in Florida yours are? Has it been difficult to manage remotely?

@Andrew Postell

Thank you for the recommendation! I didn’t realize I could post in a local forum. I’m pretty new to the app. I’ll definitely try that!

Hey Everyone! I’m brand new to real estate investing, but in the next 5 years I want to be able to quit my job and do it full time. Where do I start?

I've looked into a few different things: STR's, Mobile Homes, Multi-Family Units, and so on.

A little background: I currently work part time as a teller at a bank, so I’m not making a whole lot of money. I will hopefully be up for a promotion and be making around $40,000 a year in the next 6 months (I know that’s still not a lot of income) so how do I get started? I obviously don’t have alot of income to qualify for loans, and I don’t have much of anything to put down as a down payment.

What do you recommend I do?

Hey everyone! I was wondering if any of you have experience with AirBnB type properties in the Utah Valley (Orem/Provo) area? What is the occupancy rate year round? Is it smart to invest in?

A little bit of a separate question: Have any of you had luck with rental arbitration in Utah Valley? Would you recommend that avenue in general?

Thanks!

@John Underwood

This sounds like a great suggestion. Where do you recommend I learn about wholesaling? Do I need money to get started? I don’t know much about it.

@Paul Sandhu

Honestly I don’t have many qualifications. I’m just starting out.
