Hi Veronica, first of all I am very sorry for your lost. What I am going to tell you probably someone already said it. My first recomendaciones is to go to the Building Department or you can also call them so you have a better idea. Dade county has a very good page where you might be able to find if there is any violation. Also make sure that the building has the 40 years inspection certification (as I'm writing I don't remember if you mentioned the year of the building)
If you want to keep it try to do it, if it has a great mo they i come and you cant buy out your siblings try to find a partner to do the deal. Also you can listed and make a good profit.
