Hey Mike, just wanted to bring this back up cause i'm thinking about signing up for tenantcloud and wanted to know your experience with it?

  • Screening
  • Rent & Security Collection
  • Online Signatures
  • Auto pay

To name a few of the features.

Hi Sara, just bringing this back up because I'm looking at picking a software to go with! Do you recommend TenantCloud?

Thanks!

I thought the interface was perfect for investors who have a handful of properties. It had rent collection, a maintenance portal, and even a way to track expenses. Honestly, for most investors with a few units it is the best solution.

I have since graduated to Appfolio. My company manages 62 units internally and this was the next logical step. I would not recommend it for people who have less than 100 units as it is designed to make sense as you scale. I am finally getting used to it, but I also have a part time accountant/book keeper and also a full time VA that works for me. Without employees I would have been overwhelmed honestly.

You might also check into Buildium. I have heard that it is much more intuitive and user friendly for people with mid sized portfolios.

Thanks John! Yea, i've heard Cozy is a solid solution, especially for those starting out. I think i'll probably check them out. I'm just surprised they don't have an app?!

Hey BP, currently closing on my first property and was wondering what apps/software landlords are using in 2021 to manage properties, that they love and recommend. Free and paid app recommendations are both welcome!

Hey BP,

I'm currently in the market looking for a small multi-fam to house hack in the Bay Area (SF, Oakland, Berkeley). I recently learned about the 'owner move in eviction,' and was curious to know if anyone in the Bay Area had experience with this and wanted to share their experience or share their knowledge? Thanks!

I'm in the exact same boat, but decided on going the route of finding a house hack here in the Bay. Once I settle myself here, I figured maybe I can look into getting a HELOC and using that money to BRRR something out of state.

Hey all, I live in the Bay Area and am currently shopping around for a home to house hack. I've got my eye on certain areas of Oakland, mostly the Temescal and Rockridge area, as I want to be in a good walkabilty area. I wanted to get the opinion of other locals and see if there's some other area's you might recommend I look into. Big thanks.
