Previously, me and my woman and kid were going to move into our own place. And I wanted to eventually flip it out and sell it or whatever. Well, we split after 5 years and now I am pretty much able to start fresh with the goals pertaining to me and my son(mainly me though since Im the one buying and such). So, Im 23, still in school. and dont make a ton of money. Maybe like 11 an hour. My credit isnt horrible so im not too worried about that. Im just stuck on where to start? People on my last post mentioned getting into multiplexes of sorts. Would that still be wise? I would presume so but not sure how to gain the capital for it. Thousands of dollars that I just dont have. So, what should one do? FYI, im still moving into the house my dad has for me but itsa given. I dont really want to consider that just yet since im on my own now. Thanks!!

@Jesse Waters   @Edgar Collado  Wow. I have heard of doing that before. Never knew the term was house hack though haha. Maybe it isnt too late for me. The house we are moving in is a small 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom type of house...not even a laundry room haha. This is not the first time I heard this mentioned so I think its worth checking out as you guys suggested. Thanks for that! So im guessing, the main goal would be eyes on a small duplex or triplex for sale?

Hello everyone. Thanks for having me here on BP. A little history about myself. I am 22 years of age. I'm currently in college at UTC for civil engineering. I have one kid age of 3 and I love trying to find new ways to increase my income. I have for the longest had a seemingly big interest in real estate. One of the main reasons are due to me despising toiling away my life to other people..at their leisure...and at my expense. I hate being a "legal slave". I really want to create an image of "ownership" for myself. I want to be my own boss. Real estate, amongst other things, will be one of the paths I take. With that being stated..I do have a question. Me and my woman(mother of my child) will be moving into our first home pretty soon. My dad owns the house currently and only has 2 years left to pay on it I think. I feel it is a great starting point for us considering it our first home together. If anyone here had this opportunity..what would be some of the things to consider for the future? Such as investment options with this home. I apologize if question lackks clarity but ultimately I'm just asking for tips on where to go from here. Ive looked up things but I sometimes just like to hear peoples responses to my specific scenarios. It helps makes things a lot easier to digest.
