Great to meet you @Patrick Donohoe and Melissa!

@Christopher Johnson Great to connect in detail.

Travis, I'd love to know about any future meetups or happy hours by Pine Financial.  My roommate says the summit was just amazing and I'm very interested in future events. Are you on the meetup app or on the events page on BP? I searched but couldnt find anything, any information is appreciated, thank you!

**Edit: I just hopped on your website and found your events tab. Answered my own question, and before my second cup of coffee!

Josh, I'm unable to change my company. I moved to denver and took a new job and wanted to update my occupation but I'm having trouble. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

If you want straight networking, go to the monthly Bigger Pockets meetups and the Pine Financial Happy Hours.

Well I'm always looking to learn! ;) but I'm mostly looking for contact building and hoping to find somebody who has had success so I can pick their brain and really start to build relationships. I'll definitely look into DAREI and unfortunately I had to miss the Pine Financial summit today.  Thank you for the reply. It sounds like I'll eventually bump into you at one of these events. I'll look forward to networking with you!

I work and invest in Northern Colorado. Greeley/Evans have very different economic conditions driving it than Fort Collins (and even Loveland).

It is true that all of Northern Colorado (like Denver) are going up in value very quickly.

And that the price to rent ratio in Greeley tend to be better than properties in Fort Collins, you rarely ever hear people say, "I ultimately want to move to Greeley." You hear it regularly with Fort Collins and less frequently, but still often for Loveland and Windsor.

With that being said, there is lots of opportunity in Northern Colorado in general and Greeley/Evans in specific.

Hope that helps.

Wow, incredibly helpful! I'll for sure be looking into their zoning and city planning or other happenings, hoping to gain some insight on their future. Thank you so much for sharing!

You are missing literally the largest networking event in the state today.

Dang it! My roommate is actually on his way right now. I just found out about it this morning since I wasn't too actively searching for other events until lately.  I'm in Arvada at 11am for an inspection. I'll just dig through his notes when he gets back, and I'll be on the lookout for other great opportunities like this one!

I'm looking for a good networking group in the Denver area and I came across a group called IRROC and wanted to know if anyone has experience in this organization. Fees, structure, any information you can give me is appreciated!

OTOH, I know of people who have purchased new builds, lived in them for less than 6 months and are already listing well above what they paid. This is all appreciation based but something to consider.

Seems that property value has gone up everywhere in and around Denver!! I've noticed that Stapleton has been largely developed over the last x-amount of years.  I've also looked into Greeley and Evans just a little bit but through Conversation it sounds like Greeley is going to be much more urbanized in the next 5-10 years, calling it the "new FoCo." Not much to go on but I'm going to be doing some researching.  Ever hear any talks like that?

Since you will do lots of traveling, you should keep your eye open for abandoned properties  (driving for dollars while doing your day job) and perhaps you can locate a deal. I know wholesalers and flippers are always looking for deals. Might be a way to earn some extra dollars and get some RE experience.

Fortunately, there's been enough local business to go around and I won't be traveling like the storm chasers do! I like Colorado and don't particularly want to spend too much time away haha But I'll be lucky to be able to meet tons of homeowners and hear lots of different stories and hopefully earn enough trust to hear some of their struggles and be able to help them on a higher level as well.  Definitely keeping my ear to the ground for deals in the area!

Hey guys, just wanted to update you all if you had any interest to know. I took a position as a general contractor with an exterior storm restoration company here in Denver called Endeavor Exteriors.  We work with insurance companies and help homeowners with damage to their properties by educating them about (and advocating their position all the way through) the claims process and allowing them to understand their options when their homes are damaged by storms or some other cause.  The owner, Chris, is phenomenal and if it weren't for the way he views customer service and the culture of the company I'm not sure I'd have taken a position in this field.  There is a TRUE belief in having a servant's heart with Endeavor and I'm incredibly excited to help as many people as I can.  It'll be a wild ride, for sure!

Thank you all again for the help and advice you've given me. Denver has been good to me so far and I hope to connect with you all in the future!!

Hey guys, I'm new to Denver and noticed several locals in the thread.  What do you all think about Thornton / Stapleton?
