Hello!

Does anyone know of any good real estate conventions in the NJ, PA, or NYC area? I have not purchased my first investment yet but would like to network and gain as much knowledge as I can. So far, I have been reading the blogs here, reading books on real estate investing, and listening to the BP podcast. I know that networking/reputation is very crucial in this business.

Hi All!

I am looking to purchase my first multi-family either in Easton or Bethlehem. I have checked out the area and deemed it a good spot for my first house hack. Did research on crime rates, schools, attractions, etc... 

I wanted to see if anyone else is currently investing in these areas and has any additional feedback.

Thank you for your service! Are you looking into Multifamilies, Condos, townhomes? I am from Jersey and I have noticed that Multifamilies are pricy. The VA loan is definitely advantageous for you.

 Thanks, Scott! Still new to investing so I want to keep it in the NJ/NY area. That being said, I will keep you in mind when I want to invest in Wisconsin.

Hi All! This is my first post on the BiggerPockets Forum. I have read 2 of Brandon Turner's books on Rental Property Investing and Financing Deals with no or low money. After thoroughly reading his books, I have decided that I want to invest in Multi-family properties where I would live in one unit and rent out the others known as House Hacking here. Are there any real estate agents in the NJ/NY area that have experience with this type of investing?
