Hey Folks -

I am thinking about refinancing my rental property now, but I'm curious if that will mean I have to wait 6 months to refi the primary? I know there's a 6 month rule about refinancing, but I'm not sure if it only applies to a single property.

Thanks in advance!

I would look deep into the comps, if there's nothing nearby stretch the radius and find a comp with a similar school rating and area. This is Dallas, rentals are all over the place, you will find a comp. I've seen rentals for $15k/month down in preston hollow.

Very cool! Is your job as fun as the rest of us would imagine, and dream of? :)

As with anything in life learn concepts and understandings first. The amount of profit actually made it not how you determine how to invest. If you set a goal for a specific dollar amount, you may not look for a sound strategy, instead the whole strategy is based on the specific goal. Just my 2 cents. Start small and grow, as with anything in life, don't jump off the deep end.

Glad you found a great fixed rate option. If at all possible, always stay clear of ARMs.

Great quote and advice by your dad!

It's really shocking that such a supposed pro conservative republican president isn't backing landlords. That's what I never get about this administration, just be consistent for god's sake. If you are a republican, great be a real one, not just when you feel like it on certain issues.

Honestly, the only thing at minimum I expect from any president is consistency and smart solutions. It's bad enough how poor the covid response was, and now this?

@Rob Lee,I am a developer in Grapevine, TX, we are in the midst of building an 8 lot subdivision and there has been a lot of interest in wanting to buy our lots and build custom. We are also going to start a spec home in the next few weeks so I will have to let you know how that does once it hits the market.

Congrats on the new business venture! That would be interesting to see. Texas residents love new construction.

Agreed on the: Texas residents love new construction part!

Great article, thanks for sharing

Definitely reach out to a RE attorney. Like I posted before, I had a good experience with the Kazi Law Firm.

All of austin is growing quick. I would look into Kyle and Buda.

For me I've had the best luck just searching and hunting down a good rate. Roger's Group Mortgage in dallas was really good for me.
