@Andrew Neal I did! Although, my real estate career hasnt been lengthy by any means. I just closed on a duplex. My first investment. For me it just makes sense, if you dont have a whole lot of money or ways to get money starting out. Gives the credibility i need for my future i REI with other investors and also with lenders. So...my opinion..if your starting out same as i, get in mulit-family. House hack and go from there! Good luck!

Im sure youve found good agents already but just in case your still looking a Great real estate agent id suggest would be Tiffany Jarvis. She works for Elite Re/max in lex. Honestly she i dont think i would have just bought my first duplex without her! Always gives great advice and never pushes anything. She has turned me away from 10+ properties due to pricing and condition so far! Hope this helps! Ill be back in town in early Feb. We should meet some where and go over some of our ideas! Im a multi family/ rehab investor myself.

Hey guys and gals. Im currently in the process of buying my first duplex. Geting it appraised soon..inspection went well and negotiations werent too troubling. Anyways, my question is How long do i have to occupy the 1 half of the duplex for? Does having the VA loan make a difference in the time frame? My current plan is geting in a new duplex every few years using the VA loan. I believe the VA has a limit on the amount of loans u can have using it so i plan on trying to convert it to a conventional loan in the future. Any suggestions will help! Geting started is the hardest part..im just glad im geting that out of the way soon!

My realtor suggested Christian House. Have you all heard about him?

Thanks tara!!

So, i recently signed on a duplex in Lex. Looking for pricing on a home inspectio. I got quoted 500 by 2 different people. Is this a good price? Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!!

Hey everyone..So, ive done a bit of research over the past 4 months on REI. Im going to start out using my VA to purchase a multi family property then go from there into small flipps with the money ive saved from the deployment im currently on. Im looking for someone that is selling or looking to sell multi family in lex now or in the future..or just someone that know where to look in the area. I didnt get into REI until i left counry. Will be back Mid Jan. Thanks for the help in advance!!!
