Post: Notes and Real Estate License

Hello Learned Friends:

I'm passed my Real Estate Agent License in May 2017 for the State of Michigan and I'm not currently affiliated with any Real Estate Broker.

Without a doubt the class, the test was my way of introduction and foray into real estate and will never regret that decision. However, I have a day job as an independent consultant and don't aspire for another job as a Real Estate Agent.

Goal: Is to invest in Notes personally, create and broker Notes.

Question:

Given my Goal are there PRO's and CONS with having a Real Estate License?

Can you please state and elaborate Why? are you for and Why? are you against.

Can you also State in your response if you are a Real Estate Agent/Broker?

Appreciate, all responses in advance.

Thank You

Post: Senate Passes Sweeping Republican Tax Overhaul Bill

Senate Passes Sweeping Republican Tax Overhaul Bill,

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/senate-pas...

Now that the Senate has passed their version of the Tax Overhaul Bill, the next logical bill will be the reconciliation between both the Congress and Senate version before the President Signs.

The President has the ability to Veto certain sections of the Bill.

Can the Learned CPA/Tax Attorneys here in BP weigh in on What? will the Mortgage/Realtor Lobbying Power do to influence the President to sign a Tax Bill into Law that is friendly to Real Estate Passive and Active Investors?

The proposed Bill has a potential to impact the following areas of Real Estate:

1. 529 Tuition plan to pay for Private Schools

2. Eliminate/Reduce Home Mortgage Interest Rate/City Taxes deduction?

3. 1031 Exchange Restriction/Elimination

4. Taxes on Rental Income for non-pass through and Pass-through corporate entities.

Pl, use judgment to comment from a strictly Real Estate Investor perspective and the tax code potential impact and refrain from posting mean personal rhetorical views on; taxation policy, party affiliation, immigration, religion etc.,

I request someone in the BP Community who are subject matter Experts on Taxation, namely CPA's and Tax Attorneys to facilitate and spearhead this Topic of Discussion going forward.

Thank You

Kishore . P

Hello:

I'm looking for references for my Micro Business to process Pay Roll.

I would Like the payroll company to process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, pay taxes, and including 401 K company match as well as Employee Contribution for 401 K.

Thank You, in advance for your contribution.

@Jack Bobek: Forgive my naiveté, Can you clarify Why? I would need “use policy as collateral” Isn’t it straightforward, take a loan and buy note. Am I missing something here? Thank You, Jack.

@Darren Eady: I will reach out to you, Appreciate, you taking the time to respond to my post. Thank You, Darren

@Dave Van Horn: It was indeed your podcast I was listening to Duh! You certainly jogged my memory. I will certainly look the recommendation on the book. In theory, my hope is to buy smaller notes and have the cash flow cover the yearly interest I owe on the Whole Life policy and yet keep it intact. Maybe i should consider looking into Lendngclub.com as well. Appreciate, you jogging my memory. Thank You, Dave
