The #1 Reason Why Your Marketing is Not Working and How to Fix It

We are going to jump right in today.

I will tell you why your marketing and pretty much most of the marketing out in todays world does not bring in results.

We write clever, and funny ads that we hope bring in results and when they don't, beat our heads against the wall wondering how our prospects couldn't respond to our adorable cat meme....

Normal 1455570234 They Will Never Ikluq7

The world doesn't make sense ;(

But just imagine..... that there is one secret...one secret every top direct response marketer knows and keeps hidden from the rest of the world.

He guards this knowledge with his life to ensure that he is able to charge ridiculous fees and royalties to those who are not in on the gambit.

Unfortunately, I do not have that one secret, nor is there one secret that the top marketers are keeping from us.

But there is though, a straight forward method we can all use to increase our marketing effectiveness and entail increase in our profits!

And that is what I will share with you today!

The #1 most important aspect of any marketing piece is......

Drumroll please....

Your headline.

Yes, your headline. That 8-10 word sentence is what makes or breaks your marketing piece.

Allow me to explain...

Your headline is the first thing readers/prospects see of your marketing, and in that quick instant if you don't grab their attention by offering some value, force their short attention spans to want to read your copy with excitement... you are done.

All that time and money spent will show ZERO return.

But...

If you take the time to properly understand and write a headline that is so enthralling, so captivating, your prospect will stop everything to take the time to read your marketing. When you can do that you can move mountains my friend.

So what does an effective headline have?

Lets list it out:

1. Your headline has to have some benefit, some answer your target market is desperate to have/know. If you know your target well you can promise them a specific benefit in your headline that will make them devour your marketing piece.

Example Headlines:

-How seasoned marketers can instantly increase response rates by 15% with this odd tactic

-The six most common mistake new home buyers make that are 100% avoidable

-Are you a new investor with a bad rental? Learn what a seasoned investor would do in your shoes.

In all of these examples there is a specific promise made to the reader if they read the content. The first, you will learn how to increase response, the second, new home buyers will see if they are making a mistake and learn how to avoid them, the third new investors with an unproductive rental would kill to learn what someone with experience would do in their shoes.

In all of these examples you would grab attention and spike your response rate because you are giving your readers actual value and insight.

2.Your headline must speak to on person and one person only.

A huge misconception people have with their product of service is that it is for everyone...this is wrong and will fail miserably...especially in your marketing.

With every marketing piece you create you need to be targeting one specific type of person and only that person.

The more general your headline is the less people will actually take the time to read and take action. The more specific your headline is, the more effective your marketing will be.

In the above headlines you know exactly who they are targeting:

-Pro marketers who need an edge NOT newbie marketers who don't know the basics

-New Home buyers NOT seasoned buyers

-New Investors who are negative with their first rental NOT Investors with cashflow positive rentals.

So be ruthlessly specific with your marketing, especially in your headlines. When you know who you want to attract and only speak to them in your marketing your results will skyrocket.

And that is it for today.

If you take these two lessons to heart and implement them into your headlines you will see results but more importantly quality results.

If you want a resource with "100 effective headlines" that generated millions worth of profit for its creators send me a quick email and Ill send it your way!

Until tomorrow!

Over and out,

Paul "one specific person at a time" Lawrin
