Day 14 Making Progress

Went to a local REIA last Monday and made some great contacts! Met a banker looking to lend money to investors, a fellow newbie like myself looking for their first deal, and most importantly an active buyer looking deals! I exchanged information with everyone but especially focused on attempting to network with the buyer.  

From listening to the Bigger Pockets and the Just start real estate pod-casts one of the main things stressed was finding what a buyer was looking for.  In this case the buyer I met (we will call him Jay) was looking for single family homes within the Fredericksburg area.  He is looking to fix and flip and was a wholesaler for over 3 years before deciding to getting into flipping.  I asked why he has gotten away from wholesaling and he felt like "the bad guy" swooping in to cash in on the deals and was looking to expand his income.  I asked him if I could follow up with him when I had some deals or ask him a few questions about leads and he agreed.

This week I'm going to focus on learning different techniques on finding wholesale leads and setting up a Google voice account as my main contact number to use for any leads that may call.  I mad a business card and logo and I'm pretty excited to get it printed up as well! Taking baby steps, but I feel like things are definitely moving forward.

All I have is today.

All of yesterday's achievements and all of tomorrow's promises will never be equal to the power of taking a simple action today.....right now!
