Mindset Matters in Business and Life

The more that I grow in my field and my businesses the more I realize that we have to continue to grow and learn. YOU NEVER KNOW EVERYTHING.

When you start out in business you have to learn the basics. For me as an agent and investor it was learning the contracts, selling and buying process, how to evaluate properties and such. This is the basic skill set needed to do your job. This is not what we are talking about today. I want to talk about the bigger picture and that's developing yourself.

James Arthur Ray said that “ Your Business and results will grow in direct proportion to your own growth.”

I guess the question is what is growth to you? To me its not just business knowledge although that is part of it. It is also self growth. I am currently coaching with a Tony Robbins coach and over the past year have made great strides in my business. I have gone from moving on from a partner to my own Real Estate Investing business to planning to hire on and build a team. I do a lot of research on how to run a business, how to flip a home and such, but you know what I attribute my success to most, mindset. Part of my business is raising money in order to fund the renovation. It was a big goal of mine to be able to fund 75% of my projects by the end of the year. My coach really threw me off one day when I was talking to her about it and she said “Jason, are you asking people for money or providing an opportunity for them to invest?” You see when someone invests with me they make a much higher return thena bank gives. As I trust myself and my business I know I can pay back any loan with the profits. For some reason this really clicked in my head and I have 100% of my projects funded now. With one sentence she was able to shift my mind to where it should be.

Ask yourself what the shift can be for you. What's holding you back? Do you wake up everyday like Garfield who hates mondays or do you wake up with the mindset you are going to conquer the day? Like Henry Ford and thet poster on my wall says

WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN OR YOU THINK YOU CAN’T. YOU ARE RIGHT!
