We're Raising $3M — What's the BEST Way to Do It Without a Steakhouse Dinner?

We're gearing up for a $3 million raise for a ground up development in Columbus Ohio and actively exploring various fintech platforms for syndications. While traditional steakhouse meetings have their charm, we're focused on leveraging digital tools to streamline the process.

For those experienced in remote capital raising — what platforms or strategies have you found most effective? Are fintech solutions, LinkedIn outreach, or professional memberships delivering the best results for you?

Your alias Kyle Stroker seems like he's got more than enough money Rob. Seeing as you and Kyle Stroker are one in the same, why do you need to raise all this money?

I think you'll find that not using a fake identity will get you a lot further in the business than Steak Dinners, Fintech Solutions or LinkedIn Outreach ever will.

Dear James,

I am writing to formally address the ongoing situation regarding your recent conduct, which I believe has crossed professional boundaries. I have documented multiple instances of what I consider to be cyberbullying and unprofessional behavior directed toward me.

As a licensed real estate broker, you are held to a higher standard under the guidelines set forth by both the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics. Unfortunately, your recent actions appear to contradict those standards.

In light of this, I am preparing to take the following steps:

  1. Filing a Formal Complaint with the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing outlining the details of your conduct.
  2. Submitting an Ethics Complaint with the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® (ACAR) should you be a member, to address the breach of ethical standards.
  3. Should this behavior persist or escalate, I will also explore legal options to ensure this matter is handled appropriately.

I would prefer to resolve this matter amicably. If you wish to discuss this situation before these steps are finalized, I am open to a conversation in the interest of finding a constructive solution.

Please consider this letter a formal notification of my concerns and intended actions. I hope this can serve as an opportunity for us to address this issue professionally and appropriately.

Who's filing these complaints? Robert Ellis or Kyle Stroker?

careful buddy let's read the terms and conditions for biggerpockets:

You also agree that BiggerPockets, in its sole discretion, may terminate your password, account (or any part thereof), or access to or use of this Site for any reason, including for lack of use or if BiggerPockets believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these Terms of Use. You agree that any termination of your access to or use of this Site under any provision of these Terms of Use may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that BiggerPockets may immediately deactivate or delete your account and all related information in your account or bar any further access to this Site. Further, you agree that BiggerPockets shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to or use of this Site.

you wouldn't want to lose a 28k post acct would you?

 Robert / Kyle.

Don't change the subject. You are here online trying to solicit BiggerPockets members for millions of dollars in investments while using two different identities online.

You need to explain yourself.

Who are you? Are you Robert Ellis or are you Kyle Stroker? This is a very legitimate question and you owe the community an answer.

Ya know a guy named Bob Prisco / Bob Stevens actually had his BP account terminated for using a fictitious identity not to long ago.

What's the story Robert Ellis / Kyle Stroker?
