House Insurance inside Self Directed IRA

My wife and I have rental properties inside of a Self Directed IRA LLC and then others that are in our personal name. My insurance agent is suggesting that we insure the personal properties under the SDIRA LLC name for liability protection. Would that be a prohibited transaction? Or would we be better off getting a Series LLC for the personal properties? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I never cross that line with my Solo 401k Finances, insurance etc. you may want to talk with a tax attorney, but when it comes to the IRS Rules concerning real estate within a solo 401k or SDIRA, I stay away from grey areas and never intertwine personal and retirement assets. I even make contractors and vendors redo invoices so it bills the retirement account name.
