Insurance is changing again in the West

I'm in the Reno Tahoe area and there are new standards that insurance companies are looking at when considering insuring your property.  It's more than fire prone areas now.  Insurers are now looking at roof conditions, over hanging trees, type of water pipes, and electrical.  Companies are getting creative using drones.  If you're getting lending this could sink a deal.  There are some ways around these issues. Beware when you're putting in an offer in a western state.

What have other investors been encountering when dealing with insurance?  Has getting insurance been an issue?
