Should I make a CRM lead for each cold call attempt?
I've been curious about how other wholesale investors go about it when they are cold calling motivated sellers. Lets say you have Podio pulled up on your computer and you cold call 10 different leads. 5 went to voicemail, 2 say no and 3 say maybe. Do i make a lead for all 10 leads or just the 3 that said maybe or the 3 that said maybe plus the 5 that went to VM for a follow up? How do the PROS do it? My non-experienced opinion and author Than Merril tell me that im better off making a lead for every time i call so that i can mark someone as a dead lead, follow up, ect. Thanks BiggerPockets, what a great resource

@Danny Leyva Yes make a lead for every cold call. Have a process, ie. 2 follow ups after a no at specific times. Maybe the first follow up is another call a month later. Maybe the 2nd is simply an email 3 months later that is automated.
Once the follow ups are done, maybe the contact moves to "a dead lead" status until one year later, when another automated email goes out. Or maybe they are simply removed as a lead, left on "the list" getting normal monthly newsletters, communications, etc.
As long as their is a method to the madness, this is progress in my opinion. It's in the systems we find efficiency and data driven results.
