Wholesaling to Get Rentals in Connecticut

Hello BP family!

I currently live and work in NYC, but want to get into real estate investing. With everything in the city being so expensive, I’d like to make my first investments in Connecticut, as that’s where i’m from. With family still in the state I thought it’d be easy to head up to if need be. So my plan is to wholesale a few properties in the state (ideally virtually), then use that money to invest in rentals.

Does anyone have any advice for where in CT to look for properties to wholesale, as well as eventually buy/rent out?

Also, does anyone have any real estate Attorneys they recommend? I’d like to talk to one about wholesaling as well as setting up my rental LLCs.

Thanks in advance!

Hey @Jarrett Chouinard That sounds like a good plan. I like to hear that you are starting a LLC too. It is a great way to protect your assets. Also it opens up a few more options on the private money lending side as some private money lenders will not lend to individuals directly.

Good luck on stacking that cash from your first few deals to build your rental portfolio!
