Assignment Contract for JV deal

When doing a JV deal, does the wholesaler who has the property under contract with the seller sign the assignment contract, or do both wholesalers sign it along with the end buyer.

This is for a deal where the JV partner, who does not have the home under the purchase contract, brings the end buyer to the table.
