Should i get my general contractor?

I’m in a partnership with 2 other partners that I’ve started wholesaling with. One currently has his real estate license and the 2nd partner is going to go for his realtors license soon as well. My question is would it be beneficial for me to work toward getting a general contractors license to help the team with licensed bids that are fair and have this done in house? I will mention i have a close friend who is a GC who taught, created the test, and also portions of a GC class curriculum at hand for support. I am also established with subcontractors in just about every section as well within my network.

It would be beneficial if you were planning on being a general contractor and taking the roles and responsibilities of one. Do you have a background in construction? Do the sub-contractors that you work with do things correctly and by the books? Do you know your local jurisdictions codes, laws and requirements for contractors? Do you have enough reserves to pay for materials, tools, insurance, subs etc upfront before work starts? Do you have enough steady work coming in to even cover the extra overhead of running the construction business?Otherwise it's probably a waste of time for you. I dont see how being a contractor is beneficial to wholesaling because usually wholesalers try to off load properties quickly to make profit. If you're looking to flip houses then maybe it'd be better.
