Hi @Nicolas Lopez,

Welcome to BP.  I see you read Rich Dad Poor Dad.  It's quite an eye opener, isn't it?  Once I read that, I never looked at the world the same.  I'm driving down the road watching some construction, and I think about what's going on behind the scenes.  Who is financing the operation?  What's the business?  What's their goal?  And on and on and on.

As for gurus trying to sell their systems, I wouldn't knock that.  They come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are expensive, and some are not.  Some are in it to get your money, and some are in it to help.  And the ones I prefer are in it for both.  I paid $2,500 to a local guy who taught me the system in great detail.  It was worth every penny.  But I still keep learning.  I listen to podcasts and books all the time.  Don't be adverse to getting some training if you really want to wholesale.

The problem I always hear about Rich Dad Poor Dad is that it's eye opening and all, but there's no direction.  Nothing is there telling you what to do or how to do it.  That doesn't make it less valuable, it just points out that it's not the solution.

I found a book that I keep recommending.  I give it a B+ because I'm not in 100% agreement with all of it, but it's really good at explaining the wholesaling process.  The book is called, "If you can't wholesale after this... I've got nothing for you."  Give it a read.  It will definitely help you to get started.

I also STRONGLY recommend attending local REI meetings as much as you can. There are probably a million of them every week near you. Just start attending. Meet people. Learn what they're doing. You're in the exploration phase, so explore and connect.

Good luck, and Happy Thanksgiving!
