Direct mail envelope format
llo,
If I send my envelopes for direct mail should I put my return address with my name on it or just my PO box return address without my name on envelope or just don't put return address, which one is more likely a person might open envelope?
I use my name with my proper address and make my envelopes look like a letter from a friend. The less business like the better. Envelopes that don't look like junk mail definitely create curiosity.
@Horacio Gutierrez If you are not comfortable putting your home address on it use a po box. You want to have an address on there because if the mail is undeliverable and needs to be returned and there is no address then it will get thrown away rather than forwarded.
@Horacio Gutierrez Answering the last part of your question, people are more likely to open a letter if it has a name and address. Put a real address so that if a mail returns you can remove that address from your mailing list.
My return label looks like this:
Empyreal Ventures, LLC
1700 E. River Rd. #66013
Tucson, AZ 85719
If you have a PO box, ask them if they have an address you can use that has a real street address. The address listed above is my street address for my PO box.
I agree with @John Koster. We handwrite both our address and the owner's address to give it a personal touch. Hope this helps!
