Buyer trying to cut wholesaler out the deal

Anyone ever experience the cash buyer/investor trying to cut the wholesaler out of the deal by going to the seller directly? I understand the house is under contract but technically all they would have to do is wait it out. Hasn't happened to me but curious how often this happens and how you guys handled it.

Most investors (not all) are smart enough to know that if they go around a wholesaler they won't get any more deals from said wholesaler. Turn up good deals and build a network of reliable buyers who appreciate the service you're providing and this won't happen often. When it does happen, that's just the cost of doing business with people you don't know and trust. Write it off and move on.
