Hello All! I am new to Bigger Pockets and new to wholesaling in Indianapolis, IN! I am finding that Indy seems ‘watered down’ with people looking to make greedy profits on wholesaling. Any recommendations on meeting investors and building genuine business relationships with them and a level of trust? ANY business/real estate related advice is appreciated! If you are located or do business in Indianapolis, Indiana - Lets Connect! Just looking to get my gears turning even more in real estate.

The wholesale market is very cempetetive in Indy... many taking each other's properties and just marking them up.. 

Successful wholesalers have 2 things...

1.. great Marketing in place to acquire properties at the right price.

2. Great Marketing in place to sell those properties

Good morning @Candice Childs......i started wholesaling here in indy this summer........I was just telling my partner that the indy market is very "Watered down" and people aren't really really working together..........after my first failed deal in august i started workings backwards......I started building my network.......and I have met some wonderful people here in Indy just from BP alone......I also started reading some great books like the Go-Giver and started being a "value Add" to people.......and thats when the opportunities began to come in.....in the last month alone! Ive seen you in the REI Groups on FB how beneficial have those been for you?

Sidenote: i have been gearing up to shift my wholesaling efforts to FT Wayne and Evansville in 2019......i started marketing to all the counties surrounding Marion this month and will be shifting more resources to Allen and Vanderburgh next month......

    @Kerry Noble Jr Hi There! I am currently working on building my network first. I felt that would be my best option since I actually want to build genuine connections. That is a great idea and I’m glad to hear it has worked well for you. I have not benefited from the REI Facebook Groups. I will be checking out that book! Sounds like it’s right up my alley. I am actually from Fort Wayne. I have family there who are by real estate and have considered doing more in that market, as well. Maybe you and I could connect when you have some time.
