Buyer backed out--Should I still be paid?
So I found a buyer for a seller (wholesaler who purchased a property). She put up a $3k non-refundable EMD. Closing was set for yesterday, 7 wks from when contract was executed.
The buyer can't close. Deposit is supposed to go to the seller. What do you guys think about me asking for part of the deposit? Is it audacious of me or am I deserving a a portion?
By the way, I don't work as a Realtor (meaning I don't care to list on MLS and I'm not a member of the board of Realtors), but I am still licensed and work under a Broker, to whom I refer.
Thanks for the input!!
