CAD question Chris Feltus....you out there?

Hey everyone!  

I was working through my props from my recent driving for dollars and finished up a bit early.  As I often do I referenced back to an old article that I've read in the past to see if maybe I missed a bit of information that would help me grow.  It was the article posted here and driving for dollars by Chris Feltus.  He mentioned something that I was unaware of and wondered if someone can help.  He showed a screen shot of searching the CAD by what appeared to be subdivision name.  Is this something that can be done in all CAD's?  I need some help if possible because this could save me a lot of time.  Thanks in advance for any responses!!!
