Getting Started in Wholesaling
Hey everyone!
I just had a quick question for anyone that is doing wholesaling at the moment.
I am looking to get into wholesaling as soon as I move (moving to a different state).
I am trying to get everything in order before I move so that I can hit the ground running.
I was just curious about upfront costs. I want to do this the right way and I want to make sure that I have enough saved up to start a good direct mail campaign and be consistent with it.
Just starting out, how much should I expect to spend on direct mail per month?
I assume that the more I spend (if targeted properly), the better.. but I was just kind of looking for a roundabout number from those experienced in the field.
How much were you spending per month on your mail campaigns when you just started to get in the business?

I spend between $1400-1600 a month on postcards. It fluctuates because I'm constantly adding and removing new names each week.
My first postcard was mailed 01/28/16. To date, I've spent $8,595.33 on mailing lists, a discount order card, and postcards with yellowletters.com. $89.77 on a live answering service, Voice Nation. 101 people have called me.
I got my first deal after 2 months and none since. I have 4 that I'm constantly following up with. They can turn into sellers any day now. For every 1,000-1100 postcards I send out, I get 5-7 calls. I have noticed my call volume is increasing the more times I mail to them. At first, I was only getting 1-2 calls.
