Do I need to call and skip yellow letter?

So I've found some absentee owner properties, and it seems in my searching records, one of the properties belongs to a person that goes to the church I used to attend. I was thinking I might skip the yellow letters and ask someone else I know about how to contact her. I wanted to know BP your thoughts on this?  I have a buyer that has told me all details of properties he wants as well as the areas. This house is in one of the areas. Your thoughts please.
