i got cursed out today

So i was on craigslist today. I'm trying to build my buyers list so i was replying to "we buy houses" ads on craigslist. i sent a very nice and to the point email that said,

"Hi, my name is Jamael Reed. I'm a new investor in the area. I saw your add on CL and was wondering if you'd like to join my buyers list. I work mainly in all Lake County areas and would be glad to send you deeply discounted deals that I come across."

The guy replied and started cursing me out saying the you wholesalers don't know anything about marketing and to build a buyers list you have to get a property tied up and post it for sale online and then you'll build a buyers list.

Can someone please tell me how to build a buyers list the right way? Not lookinf t get cursed out again lol..

oh wow I would not worry about 1 person cursing you out. You are probably going to get cursed out at least once or twice a month. This business is not for the faint of heart or easily offended people.  You just wait until you get cursed out by a seller that received a letter from you, that is going to be a fun one. Oh let us know when that happens please
