What are my next steps?

On the BUYER'S LIST thread, someone suggested checking out Craigslist, so I did. After following a few links, I found a short list of preforeclosures.
It gives only the street and town. How do I proceed from here? How do I find out about a property I'm interested in, where to find it, who to contact to see it, where to make the offer, etc?
What are my next steps?
