Hey bigger pockets family. I went to my local county office and ask for the probate list, and the lady said she couldn't give me that information because was against the law. Can anyone inform me of what I'm doing wrong, and what are other lead generations.

Michael - in Southern Calif - where we do business in probate investing  - "Petition for Probate" is public information!! it is a public document filed in a tax payers venue - public records office -

these workers are the same as DMV employees!! remind them who they work for - I been down this route many years ago - now as a seasoned investor - learn what to tell them - to get what you want - in the beginning, I took many names - and wrote many letters to their superiors - not trying to be a jerk!!  but their salary comes from my tax dollars!!!

Wow. No ego there.

I know that you're trying to build a name here on BP however is this just bravado or how you really talk to people who work in government jobs?

The last time I was Orange County probate court the security deputy greeted me by name and asked if I'd be going to a mutual friends BBQ; the judge greeted me by name in the elevator; and, a probate attorney made a beeline to come over to me to say hello.

This surprised a very mystified probate seminar guy Jim Banks who had invited me to lunch. I thought it funny because I hadn't been in this courthouse for three (3) years!

Treat people right, be helpful and you will be rewarded tenfold.
