Wholesale Partnership

I have been wholesaling real estate in Baltimore for a year now and recently have been talking to a close friend about partnering up with him in a wholesaling business.  I have hesitation because I don't really know of too many investors who mostly wholesale, but are in a partnership.  We both compliment each others strengths: I am strong at growing business, networking, and marketing whereas he is strong in business analysis (housing analysis), market trends...

My concern is that I don't want to partner to end up doing double the deals and making the same money.  Has or is anyone partnered in a wholesale business and how did you split up responsibilities in the early days so as to increase volume and work efficiently rather than just adding a number (person) to your efforts?

@Ned Carey what type of roles do you and your partner play in your business?  How did you determine who takes on what roles?
